Add another award-winning, celebrity chef-driven restaurant to the Disney Springs line-up! The highly anticipated new venue from celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, is now open in Town Center. Located next to the Coca-Cola Store and easily accessible from the Orange Garage and the Disney Springs Bus Loop, it’s the fourth “Bar & Grill” location from Puck.
Featuring approachable dining with a touch of California elegance, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill offers a dynamic setting inspired by traditional farmhouses and showcases a menu designed to suit every occasion – from casual, leisurely meals to lavish, celebratory gatherings.
Last week, I got a sneak-peek of the menu and I love the mix of options. Expect to find familiar signature dishes like the classic pizzas Puck is known for alongside some new additions. The Olive Oil Seared Red Snapper with mussels, clams and fennel is a noteworthy standout, but truly, everything sounds delicious! (Tip: Make sure you save room; the homemade gelato and desserts are the perfect ending to the perfect meal.)
Break into the internet with Wreck-it Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz in your own ‘Netizens’ disguise to play Ralph Breaks VR from The VOID, ILMxLAB, and Walt Disney Animation Studios. The hyper-reality version of the upcoming film Ralph Breaks the Internet will provide players a multi-sensory, immersive experience launching on November 21st.
The game takes players in teams of 4 into the internet of the movie. Using the special VR packs designed by The VOID you join Ralph and Vanellope on a totally immersive adventure that will take you one step beyond reality.
The VOID is a global leader in immersive virtual experiences, and ILMxLAB is Lucasfilm’s award-winning immersive entertainment division. They teamed up with Walt Disney Animation Studios to create two new locations, Dunderdome and Pancake Milkshake Diner, and a new antagonist, B.E.V. voiced by writer Pamela Ribon, which stands for “Built to Eradicate Viruses.”
“It’s incredible to work on an experience like Ralph Breaks VR that lets you live inside a film you’ve spent years creating,” said Pamela Ribon, Co-Writer for Ralph Breaks the Internet and Writer for Ralph Breaks VR. “ILMxLAB and The VOID have built a world where Ralph and Vanellope really come alive around you.”
If the experience of Ralph Breaks VR is anything like the Star Wars version at The VOID, then expect the reservation times for this to fill up early.
Watch the first trailer for the game here:
“There is nothing more magical than stepping inside a rich animated world – especially one filled with color, life, humor and delightful characters as is the case with Ralph Breaks the Internet,” said Vicki Dobbs Beck, Executive in Charge at ILMxLAB. “The upcoming launch of this project marks another successful collaboration between ILMxLAB and The VOID, with the incredible opportunity to work alongside the talented teams at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Ralph Breaks VR is an experience that brings a smile to your face and the desire to have another go around with friends and family.”
“Designing the elements that pull you irresistibly into the unique world of Ralph and Vanellope has been an incredibly fun process,” said Curtis Hickman, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of The VOID. “What we’ve created together with ILMxLAB is an astounding adventure that allows people to experience a unique extension of Wreck-It Ralph’s detailed characters, environments and stories.”

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World, especially with the opening of this year’s Christmas Tree Trail on November 8, 2018.
I have to admit that this is one of my most favorite events of the year at Walt Disney World. I love the holiday spirit the trees invoke, and I also admire all the creativity and work that goes into creating the themes on each tree.
Among the 27 trees, you’ll find trees dedicated to each of the Disney Princesses (Snow White is my favorite), as well as popular movies like 101 Dalmatians.
One of the most talked about trees is sure to be the new Haunted Mansion-themed tree, complete with a life-sized “Bride” and dark Victorian-inspired ornaments. If you watch the Bride long enough, you’ll even see her heart beat. The perfect tree for those who can’t wait for Christmas, but are sad to see Halloween go.
My favorite is the Star Wars-themed tree, topped with a light saber, and featuring character ornaments, plus a tree ribbon made from Chewie’s bandolier sash. As a long-time fan of Star Wars, I appreciate the detail that went into decorating this tree, and the Jawa eyes peeping out all over the tree were a delight to see.
As guests walk from tree to tree, there are many humorous signs on the walls, each one themed to the tree it’s closest to.
Guests can also meet and have their photos taken with Santa in the center of the trail, in a little chalet staffed with elves, until December 24, 2018.
The final tree in the trail is one of the best, imho, and features a tribute to all of Walt Disney World from the parks to the resorts, complete with a monorail that circles the tree (it doesn’t move, but still looks very cool!). It’s a lovely way to end the Christmas Tree Trail.
The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail is open from 11am to 11pm daily until January 6, 2019. The entrance to the trail is in the Marketplace by Once Upon A Toy, and it is free to enjoy as much as you’d like. I suggest seeing it once at night to get the full effect with all the lights. Then return during the day to see all the tree details better.
November is a time to give thanks for what you have and, among many other things, we’re thankful to have a cornucopia of great dining options at Disney Springs. If you like classic American burgers, then you’ll be thankful you stopped at The Edison for their burger of the month – the Triple Stack Thanksgiving Burger.
It looks like an entire holiday meal on a bun because it is. Bite down on a turkey patty topped with oven roast turkey and stuffing slathered with cranberry relish and then drizzled with gravy. Don’t forget to ask for a fork and knife for this one.
The Edison will also be open this Thanksgiving where you can enjoy a traditional holiday dinner with a full turkey dinner. For $25 per person, guests can dine on classic oven roasted turkey, fluffy mashed potatoes with gravy, savory house-made stuffing, sweet baby carrots, and cranberry chutney. Make your reservations today to eat, drink, and be merry this year with an electric Thanksgiving at The Edison!
Earlier this week I bought my first Christmas present of the season – no surprise, it was from the recently reimagined World of Disney store! While I’ve got one gift down, there are plenty more on my list … and though I have some ideas on what to get the people I love most, I always welcome suggestions for those that are a little harder to shop for (I’m looking at you, mom!). If you feel the same, you’ll love the latest version of our Disney Springs Gift Guide.
With gift ideas broken out by a dozen different categories, it’s a great way to see some of the options available this season from a wide array of Disney Springs retailers. I love that you’ll find information on where each gift can be found and even get pricing details. Some of the items – like the Castle Playset from World of Disney – are exactly what you’d expect, but others, such as the playful monkey pajamas and children’s book from Rainforest Café or the wine-filled gift basket from Wine Bar George, are unexpected surprises. Of course, the list doesn’t show everything available on property, but it does showcase a nice representation of the diverse gifts you can find here; there truly is something for everyone. One tip: be sure to check back weekly as we’ll be adding new product releases every Tuesday in November, like the new Holiday dress that will be available at The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane starting this Thursday, November 8, 2018, pictured below. (For additional details on product releases, you can also follow us on Instagram and Twitter via @DisneySprings.)
Check out the Disney Springs Gift Guide for yourself. Once you’ve made your list, you can share it via Facebook or Twitter. And remember … ‘tis the season to treat yourself, too!

In honor of National Sandwich Day today, I wanted to share with you all some exciting insider foodie news!
Earl of Sandwich, located in Disney Springs behind Ghirardelli, is releasing their holiday menu this Monday, November 5th. Their holiday dishes will stay on the menu until the rest of the year. I got to take a sneak peek and taste of what’s to come this delicious holiday season at Earl of Sandwich.
(NEW!)Holiday Ham Sandwich – Ham, cheddar, yams & cranberry sauce on freshly toasted artisan bread
One of our favorite places to go for a nice meal at Disney Springs used to be Wolfgang Puck Cafe. That location closed to make way for Jaleo, but the iconic Wolfgang Puck brand is sticking around in a newly constructed restaurant located just little bit away where it will open as Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. Construction has been moving along and advanced dining reservations are now available on the Walt Disney World website.
We still don’t have an official grand opening date, but guests are able to book a meal starting with lunch at 11AM on December 15, 2018. Dinner service starts at 5pm.
Construction progress as of October 7, 2018 at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs
The new location will serve some of chef Wolfgang Puck’s signature dishes; delivering a taste of California cuisine to central Florida. We look forward to our first taste of the new menu and these classic dishes just in time for the winter holidays.
Disney’s “The Nutcracker and The Four Realms” opens this Friday, but last Sunday, 250 Disney Parks Blog Readers got an early look with a special advance screening.
Readers kicked of the holiday season in style at AMC Disney Springs 24 donning festive apparel to celebrate the new holiday adventure. Check out the video for a full look.
E.T.A. Hoffmann penned “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” in 1816. Alexandre Dumas Père’s subsequent adaptation, “The Nutcracker,” was set to Tchaikovsky’s music and the resulting ballet was commissioned in 1891 by the director of the Russian Imperial Theatres. Premiering a week before Christmas in 1892, the fairytale ballet—which takes place on Christmas Eve—became a holiday tradition around the world. Has “The Nutcracker” been a holiday tradition for you?
Disney’s “The Nutcracker and The Four Realms” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 2, 2018.
